Failing to Set Realistic Goals is a Plan to Fail

Don’t sell yourself short of your dreams by failing to set realistic goals.

There is an 80/20 rule to goal setting which is why we have to be specific about what we want. Measuring how long it may take us to accomplish certain goals and the attainability of set goals is an ongoing process. But now I want talk to you all about being REALISTIC in your personal transformation. Ask yourself, are you being real about the work you say you want to do?

Now there are some things that we simply cannot do liking walking on the surface of the sun because that is not humanly possible. But if you are into science you can definitely become an astronaut and walk on the moon. So you have to approach setting your goals from a standpoint that speaks to your abilities. Real talk, you may even have to ask yourself if the goals you’re striving to reach fit your lifestyle? Will they benefit your career? Your family? Will they add value to areas of your life for a better quality of life.

Be real with yourself and work hard because when people see what you’re realistically trying to accomplish, they will support you.

It’s all in your mind. The attitude you develop towards your goal will carry you further than having an astronomical list of things to do that read more like a bucket list than reality.

It’s okay to dream but in order to grow and experience the personal transformation that we seek, we have to be firm in the goals we set for ourselves and measure our progress with integrity.

Quitting is not an option and as I continue to guide your thoughts, the beauty in working on yourself is getting real with who you are and what you represent while making personal adjustments.

Getting Specific gives you direction.

Measuring your progress gives you insight to your productivity. 

The attainability of your goals keeps you focused on completing one thing at a time versus a life-long to-do list. 

Being realistic helps you get your life in order. You can shoot for the stars

Life is in the power of the tongue. Your self talk needs to be clear so that your continued effort translates to your mindset. So take pride in your self improvement.

Set your goals. Stay quiet about them if you want to. Crush them continually, and clap for yourself as you move along. Speak life into your dreams and step into your authority to make it happen.
